Day 6 Monday 20th

The verb HAVE GOT is used to express possession (I have got a new car), to talk about illnesses (My daughter has got flu) and timetable events (I've got a meeting today). Remember that HAVE can replace HAVE GOT in every case and is the most common form in American English:
They have got some friends or They have some friends
But remember that the first one doesn't use an auxiliary to make the negative form or questions:
They haven't got any friend or They don't have any friend

I also post the Power Point I used today in class in case somebody wants to revise.

Day 5 Friday 17th

What's the difference between "Would you like" and "Do you like"?
How can you order food and drink in a pub or a restaurant?
How do you say "avi", "nebot" or "cunyada" in English?
They are some of the questions we saw on that day.
I recommend you this web page http://www.esl-lab.com/vocab/v-family.htm where you'll learn and listen to new vocabulary related to the familiy. I think it's quite interesting!

Day 4 Thursday 16th

On Thursday we learnt how to use the present simple tense to make questions. We prepared questions for Rashpal, who visited us and explained a lot of things about her country: India.

I highly recommend visiting the following webpage from BBC where you can listen different ways and expressions to ask for the time. Listen to the programme, check the vocabulary connected with time and if you have some difficulties, download the script!!

INTRODUCTION

CURSOS INTENSIUS ESTIU

Benvolguts alumnes,
